Running multiple windows of the same program

I'm looking for a solution to run every program I have in few different windows (for example to run a different username on IM apps, different email address on email clients and such).

This is a YMMV question. It really depends more on the app and whether it was really designed for (or even allows) concurrent instances.

As for the example of signing in with multiple IM accounts.... Just get a free IM client that allows multiple signins. One IM app instance, multiple credentials allowed -- all by design. One example I've used before is Pidgin.

I am looking for an option to develop its own computer software
