Ok, I received my X800XL PCi-E today and it is running awesome! All high settings with AA x4 and AFx4 on BF2. I just love it. At first I was like hey this card is QUITE, but then after playing BF2, and MVP 2005, my pc started a loud noise that sounded like a hard running fan, and I was like dang maybe that card is loud after all! BUT, after opening up the case to investigate, it is my fan on top of my processor that blows really hard for about 2 or 3 minutes then calms back down. Im guessing the excess heat from the new card is making the processor run a little hotter than normal. Is it safe to just leave the case off during gaming to keep it cool in there? I never modified any fans on a video card or a processor so im not sure if I would feel safe doing that. Any suggestions?
