I'm running dual monitors with my ATI x800 pro, and was wondering if having both monitors on effects performance in game. For example if i have cs source beta open on one monitor, and other things open on the other, will that lower fps, or anything of the sort?

eh, i've been using dual monitors for a while and my experience has generally told me no. The main problem i've found is that when the game launches on the first monitor, it changes the position of the windows on the 2nd monitor.

yeah that's annoying, it happens to me also
It's because both monitors change to the game's resolution. Most of time game menus (intro movies) are set to something like 800x600 by default.

Virtually place monitor 2 on the left of monitor 1 and the monitor 2 should no longer be displaced. It could be annoying if monitor 2 is physically to the right of monitor 1 :p
