Runing Debian Installation To ISO

I was wondering how well remastersys works on Debian Wheezy. I was thinking today about backing up my NAS operation system in an event my SSD dies. Would this be as easy as setting up remastersys as a cron job to have a installable iso to get it up and running asap with all settings and files intact?

Or is there a better option?
