Run PowerMax without floppy?

I have a defective maxtor hd and the only way to get an rma is to run their software, yet my laptop does not have a floppy drive and the hd is in a removable usb enclosure. Anyone know of a way to run the software or can tell me the code for a harddrive recognized by bios, but not winddows?
 
Have you called and explained your situation? I'd complain until you got what you want. Ask to speak with a supervisor if the CSR you get won't issue an RMA for you.

On a different subject, Maxtor sucks.
