Did Control Panel still survive?
in the techyescity vid i posted, he says that 7, 8 and 10 keys works with the 11 installer. Will we be able to upgrade for free from Windows 10?
What about those claims that windows 10 is the last one? How much will we have to pay for this? Will we be able to upgrade for free from Windows 10? It would be fair that we can upgrade for free, especially for us private users who use only the basics and for games.
That windows and microsoft are constantly making some upgrades and in the end absolutely nothing new, just like the dx 12 with which they promised that the games would work great and in the end nothing.
Only false promises and more unnecessary garbage in the system itself, very bad behavior...
If they did, only some businesses might pay for Win 11. As Joe Average PC user, I certainly won't.would be classic Microsoft if they started charging again for Windows 11

If it is, this troll will be my new hero, lolIt would be funny if there really is no Windows 11 and this leak is actually a hacker troll.
That may precipitate the year of the Linux desktop.Windows as a service will now cost $10 a month or $100 a year.
Considering that a majority of the files in the leaked iso are signed, I’d be terrified if this was a hack.It would be funny if there really is no Windows 11 and this leak is actually a hacker troll.
Businesses pay for it now. Every new pc has a license that wasn’t free. At my work we have a business licensing for pretty much every product. We still pay per license. If they did, only some businesses might pay for Win 11. As Joe Average PC user, I certainly won't.
Not at all. That may precipitate the year of the Linux desktop.
I agree.Honestly, I don't think MS really cares or makes that much money off of enthusiasts. Most of the money is probably coming from large system builders like Dell, HP, etc. or businesses with hundreds or thousands of computers.
Which is why they gave Win 10 away basically for free, they don't seem to be hunting down key resellers, and you can even install Windows without a license and use it for free (with some limitations).
They really don't care about some gamers that build a new machine every couple years, probably pocket change for them.
Will win 11 come (be offered) through windows update or do we have to download it from the microsoft site(usb iso)?
Or it may just be a big load of hype to get some free media coverage.Tomorrow is the big reveal...

10 already has those.multiple desktop option, indicators of open apps / active app in taskbar.....ok I really don't like the rounded corners however....
I forgot win 10 has the the new desktop option... I like the active window notification better on win 11 I guess stated more accurately... also I am dumb and didn't really realize it was indicating it on windows 10... ha10 already has those.
yeah, i really hope you can turn that crap off.
why though? and "im expecting" is a good way to get disappointed (talking to the article)Microsoft Needs to Show Windows 11 is More Than Just Windows 10.5

what ive always understood, its that the core of w10 is the last, they didnt say anything about new naming. it is still 10 under the hood.by creating a new version of Windows when they previously stated that Windows 10 would be the final one creates expectations that this will be something big...otherwise why not just make this a feature update to Windows 10 (wasn't that the original plan with Sun Valley?)
