Hello.

I’m looking to replace the thermal pads of my gigabyte aorus 3070 master. According to gigabyte they use 1mm, 1.25mm and 2.25mm pads. Since 2.25mm is pretty much unavailable does anybody have experience if Gelid GP-Extreme 1mm and 2.5mm pads would work for that card? There's a guide that says to use 3mm on vram but if the pads are 2.25 from bfactory then I think 3mm is too thick. https://github.com/kd-s-t/thermal-pad-sizes-for-gigabyte-aorus-rtx3070-master-8g

Does anybody have any experience replacing the pads of that card?

I see. Do you know if those Gelid Extreme pads are soft?

Gelid:
Thanks to its softness and ultimate thermal conductivity the GP-Extreme fills spaces properly and offers the best performance in class. Gelid Thermal Pads are non-electrical conductive, non-corrosive, non-curing, and non-toxic.

Few links later:
The Gelid GP-Extreme pads are both relatively stiff and require significant compression to perform best or reach rated thermal conductivity

So yeah, looks like softness/stiffness is relative. Was hoping for first hand experience :)

PS. Thanks for the welcome.
