Hello everyone, the router was working well until a month ago, I noticed a strange WiFi problem related since Ethernet is working as intended.
The problem I am having here is that the wireless devices will not automatically connect to both SSID 2.4GHz and 5 GHz unless I manually tap on it. Either that or sometimes it will automatically connect to 5 GHz even though I tapped "forget this network" and yet it still connect to it.
I have tried changing channels from Auto to 11 or 1 for 2.4GHz and still no difference. Sometimes on chromecast, any mobile that use wireless will buffer slowly.
My Nexus 5 is connected on 2.4GHz tries to run SpeedTest app but it said network issues, when it says that it immediately disconnect the 2.4GHz SSID, I had to manually "tap" on the 2.4GHz SSID to make it reconnect since it won't auto connect. After reconnected the SpeedTest app works as normally. The speed result was 46 mbps down, 10 mbps up on a 300/20. The speed result on Ethernet is 325/23.
So the following are the problems I am having with this router:
- Won't reconnect to either 2.4GHz or 5 GHz and after booting up mobile devices.
- After tapping "forget this network" on 5 GHz on my phone, it still try to reconnect to 5 GHz even though 2.4GHz is listed.
- All mobile devices experience slow buffer especially when streaming.
The following that I have tried:
- Restart both Modem and Router
- Reset both Modem and Router
- Changing from Auto to 11 or 1 channels on 2.4GHz
No luck so far. Please see below for pictures of each 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings. I am gladly to give some more information if needed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
