I was watching a streamed leacture online and it mentioned people having their routers in gaming mode can cause problems, one such problem is it can make bit torrent to move slowly and mess up. He also said that he doesn't even know of any games that use gaming mode. So I went to the set up of my dlink DI-624 and sure enough it was in gaming mode. I probably turned that on a long time ago not knowing the downsides. So I disabled it.
Does anyone know what this gaming mode is good for? I only play CS:S every once and a while, I used to be really big into games but not lately. Disabling this won't negitively effect any modern day gaming will it?
