• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I would like to use bit torrents. My routers firewall is disabled. XP firewall is disabled. NAV is disabled. I have no security programs running, and yet I still get a mesage that I am firewalled/NATTed. Suggestions? Can give router model # later, when i'm home. Right now i'm just burning time in class, haha..

Suggestions? XP SP2. It is disabled.

You shouldn't need to disable any of that stuff. I would try forwarding the ports that bit torrent uses in your router which are 6881-6889. You can do this by going into your routers setup. Here is a link that may be useful http://dessent.net/btfaq/#ports.

Did you make sure to go into Advanced settings in Firewall and turn it off on the NIC? Microsof is so gay, you have to turn the firewall off in two places.

NIC?

Network
Interface
Card

Disabling the firewall will relay the setting to the network card. I dont see that being very helpful
