Google pointed me a possibly Real Network, but it is not installed. Any suggestions or should I just get a new router?

what router?

when my roommate got a DLink "gaming" router (can't remember model off the top of my head), the Linksys wireless adapters we had did not get along.

I had the same issue. Driver changes/updates did not help.

so I ended up turning my DD-WRT Linksys router into an AP.

Crappy 2 year old Airlink 101 325W I think. I have the latest firmware on it. Not sure if it is coming from my laptop though.

Echo request/reply (type = 8/0, code = 0)
– See if given destination is reachable and alive
– ping program uses ICMP to determine if a host is alive

I assume that log you posted is from your router?
firewall on your laptop?

Posted from the router. Firewall on the laptop is Zone Alarm. I have not pulled data from it. I also noticed WPA failures from the laptop as well. The password never changed though.

Can try:
*Reset to factory defaults on the router
*Latest drivers for your laptops wireless card
*Changing channels on the wireless router..from auto or 6 to 1 or 11.
