I've only ever gotten cheap crap from Rosewill. In my opinion, that's what they make. I'm talking a tower case for $17 shipped amount of cheap crap. Is their expensive stuff any better? I personally wouldn't feel bad (and have done this so far) lumping their entire brand into the cheap crap category and never buy anything from their brand unless the price matches the crap. Are the 800 watt power supplies for $150 trustworthy? Did they deserve the awards they got or was it based on a 30 minute test or a 2 minute cosmetic overview? I just have a hard time believing that they can make a case that is a complete ripoff of someone else's style (who cares, really) and match or exceed the quality. That's not how knockoffs work. Knockoffs are supposed to be cheap junk that appears to be nice stuff. Why can't I trust the reviews and the number of 'eggs' the stuff has? Lets face it, consumers are stupid. If the cheap junk appears to be nice stuff, 90% of them are perfectly appeased and happy. Those of us who can tell the difference between metal and plastic ("but it's coated, how can you tell?") just by touching it, or those of us who take a little bit of comfort knowing a 300-pound person could sit on your computer without any harm, or those of us who don't like to slice our knuckles open on a sharp piece of stamped metal, etc etc and on and on.

In retrospect, this paragraph is not laid out super well... it should have been organized into maybe three smaller ones. Sorry about that, cheap crap paragraph...

never had experience with the brand. you can clearly tell it's cheap junk just by looking at it...

Yeah i have a rosewill keyboard... It has no resistance in the keys and sucks to type on. It was the cheapest one i could find that supported more than three keys at a time.

i have a rosewill case i got for 25 bucks. seems to beat out some of the other more expensive options up to about 75 bucks price point. *shrug*

I have bought three items from them. The slim micro-atx case had one minor defect and a loud fan. The usb3 ext HDD enclosure had the power LED fail. The USB network adapter works as advertised. For myself I would at least continue to consider their products.

I have used:

SD card reader - no problems.
Keyboard - Delete key failed after a year along with most of the lettering on the keys.
7 port USB 2.0 hub - No problems.
Case - Cheap case, cheap looking, but no problems.
Network adapter - no problems.
I think my parents decade old 19" monitor is Rosewill, still going strong.

I too have only bought cheap stuff, minus the monitor, so I don't know if their more expensive items would be worth it or not.

I've had a few go arounds with Rosewill and I can say I would never recommend any of their products. I've had no luck with them at all. I have heard some of the PSU's are great........ But I would rather spend a bit more money on a more trusted brand. A crappy PSU could wipe out your entire system.

Here's just a few things I've bought from them in the past.

Rosewill RX-DU100 Hard Drive Docking - worked for about 25 secs then died, wasn't worth the shipping cost to send it back imo.

Rosewill RCR-102 52-in-1 card reader - caused my wifes system to crash during boot after a couple of weeks. Done the same thing when I tried it in a couple other machines. Went through RMA 2 times, same issue, gave up after that.

Rosewill keyboard and mouse. The keyboard died after about 3 months, and the mouse's scroll wheel never did work.

On a positive note, I do have some 6' rosewill HDMI cables that have been working fine for a couple years.

Recently put together a budget system for a friend....used a Rosewill Green series RG630-S12 630w psu that was like $50 after code and also a Rosewill 3.5" card reader....no problems with either. Was very impressed by the quality of the psu (ATNG build according to Hardware Secrets).

The new Rosewill Capstone psus are Superflower = excellent.
Their cases look ok for cheap stuff. I think I'd still opt for an NZXT or a cheap Antec over a Rosewill case, but that's just IMHO.

I will say I bought a Rosewill laser mouse for like $8 on shell shocker and it was about as light and cheap feeling as an empty plastic tupperware cup and I ended up having problems with it and pitched it. Can't say much for their mice, but at least I'd feel comfortable buying/using/recommending at least the Green series or the Capstone series psu's.

Currently using a Rosewill Challenger case. No problem with it other than tough cable management. Not too much room to work with back there.
