I was reading up on PSU, this is after i ordered this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817182040 is already in the mail, so it's too late to change what I'm buying. Read that Rosewill is unreliable, so I guess I'll post afterwards on how this PSU does in my computer.

Setup: Pentium D 930 Overclocked to 3.4, Dual 6600GT SLI, 1 GB DDR2 667 RAM OC to 740, 1 HD 250 gig SATA2, 2 CD/DVD drives and about 5 fans. My current PSU is the one that came with the case, an Aspire, which is blatantly labeled dangerous. It supplies little enough power that when i play games all my fans get quieter, i assume from not enough power.

If you look at the pictures on newegg, the label shows that it is just a modded apex (sl-8600EPS.) Rosewill aka newegg just added an additional fan and made it look prettier

return it, spend a few more bucks and get a nicer one.

Lol, im too lazy to return it. I assume it will do fine for my setup, and i dont have the money right now to return stuff.

So I turn on the computer, everything hooked up, and everything appears to be working fine for about 20 seconds, then the computer shuts off. It also makes a high pitched type of noise, but that could be anything on the computer doing that.

Edit: Disregard dumb post for help, i wasd checking and my stock intel heatsink became partly dislodged during the re-wiring of the system internals. Processor becomes audible at about 80C, its a pentium D so it gets hot unless the heatsink is on just right.

I have had a Rosewill for about a week. It runs fine while the computer is on but if I leave the computer off for a while, the PSU has trouble powering up. I had left it off all day yesterday and now the computer will not power up at all. I have yet to test with a spare PSU I have but it looks like I will be returning this one. Hope you have better luck with yours.
