Rookie to WC. Design a Setup?

First: I am in Canada, so it would be nice to find some Canadian distributors, as duty will rape me raw.

Second: My setup is K8N Neo 2 Plat./3500+/6600GT. Case is a Chenming 601AE, and I am not afraid to get the Dremel out.

Third: Budget is in/around 300-350 Canadian.

Every waterblock in my price range is sold out and on backorder on that site. Alternatives?
 
So it's looking like this so far:

TDX *ATHLON 64* Block w/LUCITE Top 1/2" CHR FIT - Danger Den
DD Maze4 *GPU-BLACK* Waterblock 1/2" CHR FIT - Danger Den
10 FEET of 1/2" OD Premium Vinyl Tubing
HW Labs Black Ice *BLACK XTREME-2* Radiator (BIX2) - HW Labs

So from what I understand, I only need a pump?

if you can afford $75 USD for a pump, the Danger Den D5 should serve you well.
 
Too bad you can't order through DD to get the D5 +TDX discount without getting raped getting your stuff across the border :(.
Unless you like the looks of the TDX over the Swiftech 6002, get the 6002 to save you some money and get better cooling than the TDX at all flowrates (even though you should get a D5, it still performs better than the TDX, leaving you the option of the DDC if space/absolute silence is more important for you than a degree or 2).

What's the ID on that tubing? If it's anything like the vinyl tubing you buy at the hardware store for 20 cents/foot, it's going to bend worth crap and not fit over the 1/2" barbs very easily, if at all. If you want to stick with 1/2" OD tubing, I'd get Clearflex, or the more expensive near-equivalent Tygon. If you decide to stay with vinyl, get 1/2" ID.
By the way, a baby panda dies for every foot of vinyl tubing used in a WC setup :p
 
Yea, get Clearflex 60 or Tygon.

Well, I think if you have the pump to run it, the extra nozzles that can be put into the TDX put it even at least with the 6002.
 
BIP > BIX

Unless you just love those tornados running in your case. (The extremes require stronger, noisier fans to make the BIX cool better than the BIP)
