Rome - $1

I use to love that game. Do you know if the community patches that fixed the unresolved bugs in the official patches works for the Steam version though?

Loved this game, my favorite was launching a hail of flaming arrows into an enemy army, burn baby burn!

I gotta say this has been the absolute best $1 that I've ever spent! Very cool game indeed, and addicting. You can tell they put a lot of grey matter into these Total War games! I wish I would have gotten into strategy games years ago, I missed out on so much it seems. I just spent 9 hours playing and learning the on tutorial map. In the end I sent the Gauls running like bitches even outnumbered almost 3 to 1! :) I can see why so many are huge fans of the series. At this point, I too am looking forward to Rome 2. Finally may be a reason to update my outdated pc specs.

I see what you're saying about some bugs though, I was having a hell of a time getting siege towers and ladders to work properly. It wouldn't let me place them on the walls many times and then when it finally would find a spot that would let them work, the units would freeze in place and/or twitch and glitch around. fricken ridiculous.

btw, it's back up to $9.99, still a great price for it though. One dollar was fricken crazy stupid!

gonna be epic! The campaign map for it looks very cool. Really looking forward to it and I'm a Total War noob:)
