Background : 8x250gig array, samsung drives. Highpoint Rocketraid 2320 8 port Pci-express controller. Asus P5N32-D Sli motherboard.

Problem : My motherboard doesnt see the controller whether its in the x4 slot, or a x16 slot. Nothing really in the bios seeing the card, windows doesnt either.

Any ideas?

Have you talked to Asus about this? I was under the impression that there had been some problems with early, early PCI express boards, but they'd been fixed.

I'll give thier tech support a call, I havent seen much about it, but hopefully I can get it working.

I have mine in my A8N Sli Deluxe in the lower PCIe x16 with the board in Sli mode. Works fine here.

Its working now, the card didnt want to be pushed all the way into the pci-e slot when properly screwed into the back of my stacker, guess I just need to work on it. After format and raid 5 useable space comes to 1629 gigs.

Sweet! I'm glad to hear I didn't recommend a dud card to you. Which slot are you running it in, and have you tried both?

FYI, this card gets HOT. I'm picking up a pci slot blower today.
