rocketfish painting question

I picked mine up today and am in the process of painting the inside, is there a way to get the black part off the door, i took out the screws holding the supports on but i cant get the standoffs to loosen, but i am afraid they glued the black part onto the door as well to keep it on there, any ideas?

Edit: if your in the columbus ohio area the polaris bb has one more :D

yeh i saw that. its really nice i like the center plate that goes above the psu. i think im gona do the same but with some spray painted black cardboard.
good luck painting your case should look real nice in black.

lmao i want to remove the black part of the front door, i am painting midnight blue i'll post a pic of a finished hd cage & the door in question give me fifteen

make sure u do a goodnjob of rapid. That would be bad if u got some paint on the door. That's cool , a blue/black combo. Are u painting the whlhole inside blue?
 
You might want to try sliding a knife under one of the bottom corners to see if it's possible to pry it off.

I'm looking at the door on mine and it looks pretty flush unfortunately. It might have been glued.

yes, i will post pics when i am finished, i just masked the door and primed, i will finish paint tomorrow afternoon, i should have my rig transferred over by then, this summer dangerden.com will get most of my tax rebate check i am going to wc this bad boy lol

Thats a nice job, I am not doing any current Mods other than painting, atleast not untill i get some wc parts. I have to go get one more can of paint before i can continue, its taking a bunch more paint than i thought lmao, oh well lol
 
Last I heard those cases were down to $47.99 at Best Buy stores. They're still $119.99 on the web site though.

mine was $53.11 after tax i might go get the other one later. depends on how much i spend on lawn food :p it is spring after all
 
well i am done for now, painting didnt go as well as i wanted but they only had three can left, and this was a four can job, that and my paint area sucked lol. i did however get the door painted :p that is all for now will post better pics later

tokey43074, that would look a lot better if you had been able to unscrew those screws near the 5.25" drive bay. You know, the one's holding up the plates.

Luckily I was able to do that and the interior looks more authentic.

But nice choice on the paint color. Loving the blue!
 
yeah i wanted those screws out, but i couldnt find my small screw driver to get it :( if i can find it i am going to swap those screws out, i may drill it to get to them we will see,i am not going to try it for a little while tho
