Rockband - 360 or PS3?

Hey guys,

I have a Wii, 360 and a PS3. I would like to get rock band, but I'm not sure which version I should get. I don't think it's out for th wii? So between the 360 and PS3, which version is better and are there any differences?

360 version for this reason.

If you only had a ps3, I certainly wouldn't say to pass up rock band, but having the ability to actually have a full band by virtue of third party guitar support on the 360 makes it the better choice.
 
ps3 version has wireless guitar.. 360 doesnt... depends if that bothers you.

we're having to send our guitar back though because is suffering from the fucked strummer...:mad:
 
I'm biased because I only have a 360 (and Rock Band), but I think that if any game is just about equal on both systems, then you should get the 360 version because of Live. But that's just me...
 
yeah I'd say 360 as well because you currently can't get a second guitar for ps3. It does piss me off to no end that they have a wired guitar for the 360 version, though. I had gotten used to the freedom of the wireless guitar hero 3 controller already :( . Luckily I can use that as my second guitar for rock band, though (you can't currently do that on the ps3 version).
 
I thought that only the Activision guitar will not work on the PS3 version. are there not any other 3rd party guitar makers out there?

Not yet, remember that GH3 is the first Guitar Hero for the PS3 (and PS2 guitars can't be used) so there are no aftermarket controllers yet. If there were, though, they would be licensed by Activision and probably also not work.

You and your damn Logic. Baah I like to live in my fairy tail world that promotes fair use of something that you actually already own.
 
yeah the stupidest part of activision not letting harmonix apply the patch for the ps3 version is that people would still have to buy the gh3 guitar! In other words, activision is giving people a reason not to buy their game. Stupid.
