I just got the ROCCAT Kone XTD from newegg before they sold out. I can see why H.H. likes this mouse and gave it a gold rating. Couldn't make up my mind earlier between the ROCCAT Kone[+] or the Sensei - Fnatic and held out when Kone XTD first showed up to see the reviews about it. Improving on something already done well and looking sexier? I needed a good mouse and couldn't resist.
I played around with the settings to get familiar with it. I manually selected different DPI settings using the software at first going for 3200 DPI. Few minutes later when I tried out the DPI switcher on the mouse some guy screamed at me 6400 DPI!!! and freaked me out. That was embarrassing. At least it prepared me for when I selected 8200 DPI.
It feels great in my hand, good size, and good weight to it. I'm going to need some more time to really get to know it and bond, but so far so good. No regrets so far. My only thing against it is just a nitpick and nothing I didn't already know about it prior to purchasing it, but I would have liked to have seen them make the logo LED such as their Kone Pure along with the rest of the LED design here.
