Since the recent change to the PlayNow function in BC2 (not feeding HC servers), we're finding it hard to populate our server:

If you looking for hassle free gaming without the whiners getting their way, then we're the place for you. If your looking to boost your K/D by not Attacking during Rush mode and "Camping" we're the place you want to be. Looking to get that elusive badge and want to sit on the TOW missle the whole game, no one's gong to bitch at you. Other then complete tomfoolery that is a deterement to your own team (driving tanks out of bounds, destroying your own equipment on the ground etc etc), we don't care what you do.

If your doing it to the enemy it's not against any rules. Raping, camping, base raping, spawn killing. What ever horrible name it's been given by some, it's only what we just consider game play, and completely allowed.

Help us keep Hardcore mode and true hardcore gaming alive (HC, FF=on, Minimap=off, minimap spotting= off, 3rd Person veiw = off,Killcam = off).

Sorry for the "spam" but desperate times call for desperate measures.

try an experiment turning hardcore off to see if your utilization goes up. with the new filtering system you are probably no longer having people 'accidentally' join
 
I prefer hardcore, but I dunno about them rules. Encouraging crap like spawn camping is not really my cup of tea. Also not sure about the server name, but tbh I don't think server name has every mattered to me.

I wasn't going to join, because it's HC. But.... House of AIDS? I'm so fucking there and i'm telling my friends to join.

Off topic-ish: I was playing this game on ps3 at my friends house and it seems really fun, is it worth buying for the PC?
 
I dont like the name but this server was a 64 man BF2 server for years and always packed. HC needs tweaking and I will not play it but the server is a good one if you like it.

Our BF2 server was No.1 through much of the summer of '09.

And our BC2 server was No.1 till the PlayNow feature stopped sending us players. We'd turn off HC, but we don't want to go to that extreme. So I'm trying shameless plugs on websites.

We don't "encourage" any type of game play per say. But we don't restrict movement and how you attack the enemy. And you'd be surprised it doesn't happen often on any of our servers, because the players who frequent them prevent it from happening. If an uncapturable base can be attacked , you'd be surprised just how hard it is to do, when people expect it to happen and take the proper precautions.

We believe adversity fosters teamwork, and protecting players from it, only does the opposite. There's nothing like getting your ass kicked to make you join a squad and start working to make sure it doesn't happen again. Not to mention it takes any and all human bias out of the equation.

Thanks for considering RRHOA as your BC2 destination,

(it's a horrible name, but people remember it, and that's its sole purpose).
 
I used to play somewhat regularly on that server when I first got bc2, but I think I ended up looking for other servers due to a higher latency. Not exactly sure what the reason was, maybe I'll give it another go. It was always a good time :)

Edit: Believe it or not it was the name of the server that made me join LOL

Sorry, I really hate the fact that hardcore has no mini map spotting. I can deal with the higher weapon damage, the lack of a kill cam, and the lack of a crosshair (hell, I use zoom more than I fire from the hip). But wandering around aimlessly with no mini map and no spotting makes the game feel like it's back in the 1940s.

The fact that I work in the defense industry means I know very well what battlefield intelligence is capable of (it's not quite as good as 3d spotting - yet, but it's as-good or better than the mini map spotting). Ditching the mini map and spotting is not-only less fun, but it's also less realistic :D

When you put it like that, it actually sounds better. Haha. I'll prob try it tonight, havent tried a East Coast server yet, been stickin to Seattle/Cali. I did get decent ping on a Chicago server tho...see yall around.
