RMA shipping question

So I'm shipping my first RMA hard drive, it's a scorpio laptop hard drive. Just had a quick question, where can I get a good size box and packing material for it? Would Microcenter sell it, or like an Office Depot?
 
You could try those places, just ask if they have any spare packaging material. The same goes for grocery stores or other stores that get cardboard boxes.

Luckily I save all of my boxes and packaging material over the years in cases like this. ;)
 
If you have like a shipping etc, fedex+kinkos/etc, they'll have most of what you need, sans antistatic bag (probably).

in the WD premailer, do I need to sign the Customs Information or is that just for international shipments?
 
That's just for int'l orders. If it's a WD drive, why not do an Advanced RMA? Give WD your CC info and they ship you the replacement drive and a return shipping label. Stick the defective drive in the box the replacement came in and throw it at your nearest UPS dropoff and voila.

Thats what i did. It was like 5 bucks and has the box, static bag, and shipping label.
 
yeah i asked the guy that emailed me if there was an option where they can send me the stuff first to ship as this was my first RMA and wasn't exactly sure how it worked, and he said no there is no option like that =/

now i know for next time thanks
