Just setup a new dual 9800gt box today and I'm having an issue with rivatuner. It seems both cards just fine but I have no fan tab on the 2nd card and it also can't detect the clock settings on the 2nd card. A quick google search didn't turn up much useful info. Any ideas?

Riva tuner has never detected more than 1 fan per card. As far as I know, there IS only 1 fan per card - or the 1 slider affects 2? fans. If you are running Vista, you may need a VGA dummy to alter the 2nd GPU's OC....

edit: I thought you were talking about 9800GX2s - doh! I still say make sure your desktop is extended, and if you're running vista, VGA dummy.

Yep all that is done, the gpu client is running fine on both cards.

Which version of RivaTuner ??

RivaTuner v2.2 picks up on my three vid cards ok with 180.48 drivers.
Running on XP and cards two and three have dummy plugs in.

Luck ............. :D

I believe it's rivatuner v2.2, just seems like a strange issue I've never had any issues like this before. No problem with rivatuner correctly seeing everything with my dual 9800gx2 box.

Btw with XP you shouldn't even need dummy plugs (at least not with 178.24).

I had to uninstall RivaTuner then the 180.48s. It would correctly see the top mounted 280 and clocks, but the second would show as 2D power saving only clocks.

After reinstalling the 180.48s and seeing the correct clocks listed for both cards, I reinstalled RivaTuner with no troubles since.
