Rivatuner 2.0 locks my rig down hard!

I am considering OCing my rig soon. I have found some Corsair twinx 4000 which I believe is DDR 500 and good OC memory.
So I want to be able to see my Video Card health as I start the process.....

I have downloaded RivaTuner 2.0 two separate times, each time now after loaded and I launch any part of it (perf view or temp) my mouse stops right where it was when I clicked it and the PC is hard locked.

No other program at all has given me a seconds issue on this 4 month old build yet but this one.

Anyone have any suggestions, I would love to know my Speeds on the card as I OC the entire PC to make sure it is stable and has no heat issues.

Hrm.... because i know Rivtuner 2.0 doesnt fully support anything over 100. Hmmmm

I did,
Ntune locks it up just as quick and hard(same download)

I removed it cleaned the reg rebooted and tried again.

Then later downloaded it from a different place, when the smoke cleared all the same results.

Any more ideas or what to try.

Will coolbits show me temps and OC options on the 8800?

It does not show the 8800 series being supported, but I will give it a shot. Tnks

Thank you. I was able to run the ATI tool with zero issues.
I also like you can minimize it and it shows the card temp in the task bar.

It is funny the ATI tool works, but the Nvidia one or Ntune would not lol.

I was happy with my EVGA SC card....
now that I have a tool to look at it, the supposedly 576 was 567 and my Memory speed was 850, not sure what that was "supposed" to be seeing they just say 1600 retaliative or the likes.


But,
I after a bit with the tool I was able to bump it too 600 and 920 with the same heat range of 70 during 3DMark testing and 80 after 3+hrs of FarCry.

So, I guess I am still very happy with this GPU. I know I could go even more on the speeds but the rig is screaming now, so why mess with it till I have too.
