I have an old e6300 I've been overclocking.
When I got my new motherboard and set up a stable OC of about 25% all my temperatures looked pretty good for my cooling system. My 2 core temps were around 37 and 39 idle with a northbridge temp of about 38.
Well now after several months of running this OC my temps have gone up about 2 or 3 degrees C.
I've dusted everywhere in the case and made sure all my fans are operating. (I don't know if the fans are faulty at all but their RPM seems normal, around 2500rpm on my zalman fan)
So what causes this increase in temperature? My house stays cool with AC for the most part. Should I replace the thermal tape or is 2-3 degree increase nothing to really worry about. I'm concerned because I I've had things die in the past due to shitty cooling. Thanks.
