I wasnt sure which forum to put this in, so im sorry if i chose the wrong 1...

A few weeks ago i went out and bought Nirvana - Incesticide. I put the cd in my HU and play it only to find out that the highs suck major ass. I am assuming this is just the way it was recorded (if not please let me know). So now I would like to rip it to my hard drive in mp3 format. I use EAC to rip my mp3s. Is there any way to raise the highs or like normalize the sound?

Rip to WAV. Equalizer. Output to wave. Re-encode as FLAC
 
im sorry man, your gonna have to explain that in retard terms. i know what a WAV file is and i know what ripping is. but whats FLAC, what do you mean by output to WAV, and wheres this equalizer thing?
 
Did you listen to the whole thing? Incesticide is a mix of songs from various different sessions / recordings that doesn't seem to have been remastered at all for its release, so different tracks on it have very different sounds, to me. I wouldn't want to go at the whole thing with a sledgehammer.

well every song on it is extremely low. so raising them all would be nice
