Ripping sound from BF 2142

Hey [H],

Does anyone know a way to record the sound of the guns from Battlefied 2142 into a wav or mp3 file?

I heard you go into your install folder.... find the sound.zip then extract all contents. Delete the stuff you don't want and then you can convert the music you want into mp3 with some 3rd party program.
