Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Just ripped all my DVDs to a 1tb hard drive. For lack of a better way to explain myself, what is the easiest way to watch. Them on my tv now without an htpc?
Roku, PS3, Xbox... If they are on your PC, you can run Plex, TVersity or other streaming application to those devices (and others, but I have no experience with the others). If you don't have those, the Roku's can be $50 as a refub (Roku 2 HD).
Does your TV support DLNA? If so set up something like servio and then bring up that server via your TV. That's what i do, and then i use PLEX for my android devices and watching my stuff streamed out over the web
Is it no htpc and no media server? Media server would be Plex, TVersity or Serviio, The basically run on a PC, Plex will run on a NAS with reduced capability, I don't know about the rest. A media server is usually paired with a player like PS3, xbox, roku, WDTV Live, Many Blu-Ray Players and TV's.
The only one that will handle the external drive 'well' stand alone is probably the WDTV.
Thanks for all the help. Likely going with a wdtv live. Seems like the easiest route to go. Physical DVD collection was getting a bit much. Thanks guys!
