Right-sizing the Farm Next Week

5 minutes ago decided to right-size the folding farm since... as nice as it is to have 10 boxen + 2 not folding... it is a bit excessive. Want high-end stuff?

Everything is available on 4/25. Prices are shipped to lower 48 states.

Random stuff:
1. EVGA GTX 285... I have been using it as a VGA card for the SR-2... seems a bit like overkill. $100.

Intel LGA 1155:
1. Intel Core i5-2500K + stock HSF $190

AMD G34 Items:
1. 2x 6164 HE dodeca core 1.7GHz chips + S8236WGM3NR + Dynatron A6's = $1050... here is a pic and note this has onboard LSI SAS 2008 so you can hook up tons of hard drives if you wanted to make a server out of this.

2. 2x 6166 HE dodeca core 1.8GHz chips + Tyan S8230GM4NR dual G34 motherboard w/ 4 onboard NICs - $1150 without heatsinks, $1200with heatsinks

3. 2x 6166 HE dodeca core 1.8GHz chips $600 each, $1100 for both

4. Can discuss 4x 6166 combo.

Reason for the SAS2008 based parts is because they are 8-port SAS 2/ SATA III controllers that are compatible with everything for ESXi boxes, SAS expanders and etc. One can run a simple file server at fairly low utilization especially with the abundance of NICs.

Intel LGA 1366 Systems:
1. System #1 SR-2 w/ Dual L5640's and 6x Kingston Hyper-X 1GB modules. PM me for details on the L5640's. $1250 and will throw in the 19.5dba Supermicro 4U chassis tower coolers which are awesome noise/ speed/ cooling.
2. Intel Core i7-2600K + stock HSF + ASUS P8P67 Deluxe $420

Added a 6166 HE dual combo and split out the extra two CPUs. PM me if there is interest in all four.

Does either combo include the memory shown in the picture?

Varies a ton by WU and the SR-2 is clock sensitive (I run a bit lower just because I have the system totally quiet, almost HTPC quiet right now which rocks).

Let me know if you want anything. The G34 platforms do not include the 8x 4GB 1600MHz memory R_Type :-P

And I'm pretty sure I have started to pop up on quite a few people's radars at this point (inside top 20 ppd for project.)

Dropped prices on the combos. SR-2 dropping off to a [H] member tomorrow morning.
 
If by any stretch you find yourself in a position where you could trade a Xeon E3 1220 ES (that has HT) for a CPU that has a working GPU core, let me know. I'd throw cash in if appropriate.
 
Is the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe a revision 3 board?
 
Jebo: sorry I have more Xeon E3 than sockets right now so I am probably not looking to trade in the LGA 1555 line at this point.

KMac: it is a B3 board.
