When I wokeup this morning, and sat down at my chair, I noticed that whenever I try to cut, delete, or right click on a file anywhere on the computer my computer locks up. When it locks up, the only way to unfreeze it is to open the task manager and close a Windows program called "Dr Watson" drwtsn32.exe that opens up whenever the computer locks up. Dr Watson is just a default Windows program that debugs whatever errors happen and dumps the memory. Anyway, I have run virus scanners, ad-removal, scan disks, but nothing.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

EDIT-

Forgot to add that I'm on Windows XP SP2.

I just read that problem is occuring in some XP, SP2 instalations.
seems like there was similar errors ,with people that had DivX and
just installed SP2..

You should still look for SpyWare too. (running Ad-Aware -SpyBot).
People that corrected the problem ,uninstalled SP2 ,and went back to SP1.

Since I have not installed it yet ,I would think that going to Control Panel
and removing programs would be the easy way (but after alot of reading)
about SP2 problems and error's it may not be that easy! if you can't ,then
you have to use the recovery console .

Method 2: Remove Windows XP SP2 by using the Spuninst.exe command-line command
To do this:
Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type the following lines. Press ENTER after each line.
cd %Windir%\$NtServicePackUninstall$\Spuninst
spuninst.exe

Follow the instructions to remove Windows XP SP2.

I had this happen to me before I installed SP2. Since installing SP2, it's happened less frequently, but is still happening. I'm not quite sure what causes it.

Well, I went ahead and uninstalled SP2, only to have Windows XP crash. Reparing from the installation screen didn't work, so currently I'm uninstalling Win2000 Pro so that I don't have to deal with this XP crap anymore.
