hi there!
i have searched the web, this and other forums about my problem, have had an expensive phone call to the hotline and emailed them (-> Sierra) ... that was the solution which i've got from the hotliner :-(( ... i have not yet an answer from the support (about 48h) except the confirmation ...
@ mods: pls move the post if it not belongs in this section of the forum ... i have no idea where to post (game, monitor, graphic cards ...). sorry.
Problem: i can't get any higher resolution as 1024 x 768 and thats absolut not exceptable with my system. I have not any problems with other games like d3, hl2, painkiller, farcry, ut2k4 run these with 16x12 and highest settings ...
i used newest drivers, clean installation ..................:
forceware 66.93 and the newest display driver from iiyama
-> driver settings: single monitor and the driver displays the correct name of my monitor
my own workaround:
when i deinstall the monitor and then go again (or restart the system) to the graphic cards panel a dialog came up and aks for install the monitor-driver again ... then i reselect it and accept the typical message-window for unsigned drivers ... after that the same dialog (asking me about the driver) comes again ... then i have to cancel this dialog (when i select it again the driver is installed correct and i can't use higher res in the game!)
-> the driver is now not really installed (driver version and so on is all unknown in the driver-panel)
after that very annoying procedure i can go to the game and select the 16x12 and paly it without any problems ... !!
so when i go out and restart the system the dialog for installing the monitor driver comes again and i install it correctly ... now the driver-panel shows the manufactor and the driver version -> when i play it again the game has the old res 16x12 !!! fine !! ...
BUT when i play another game like d3 and go again to riddick i have the same problem .. and have to do the f****** procedure again.
i'am very thankfull for any help i can get from you !!!
thanks for reading
