There are two separate RIAA court cases in the news today that need to be watched. It is important for consumers to keep an eye on these proceedings, you never know when you might be facing this type of situation.

Her attorney was delayed in filing his opposition papers. The RIAA would not consent to his filing the papers late. He then requested permission from the Court to file his opposition papers late. Judge Colleen McMahon granted permission, saying "I will Accept the late filing. Enough of these silly letters."

$1,000,000 per song these people may or maynot have downloaded? Wait, sorry that is what they think they deserve, sill me.

The most annoying thing, with the exclusion of the person being sued, is that everything from the lights, to building maintenance, to the clerk's and judge's salary for these stupid cases is paid for by us. What a waste.

We should file a class action suit against the RIAA to reclaim some of that wasted tax money.

People wanna sue Nvidia for shit drivers yet no one wants to sue the RIAA for shit like this? Shows you were the priorities are. We'd rather have both vid cards work just to sit on our asses to play games when we could be fighting these dickheads.

I just can actually issue a fine for if he feels the lawsuit is frivolous.

They could charge the RIAA for court fees that the tax payers are currently footing the bill for.

Most people don't care until the problem slaps them in the face. I agree, pre-emptive action is needed.

So does anybody own stoptheriaa.com yet?

We should purchase it or one like it and get started signing people up. $25 donation, and we just counter-sue the shit out of the RIAA for fraud, extortion, and just plain being dicks.
