revolutions secret weapon

If this happens I will buy a Revolution, plug in the DSL line, and play every single Mario game ever released back-to-back-to-back. And I will have more fun doing it (and more money in my pocket) than the guy who throws down $500 for his NextBox so he can play Tony Hawk's Extreme Underground 12 - Hyper Skating.

I been hearing noob people around here talking about the backwards comapability on revolution. I think it is going to be a major hit. Especilly with the snes and n64 games. :)

Sorry, folks, it's not happening.

The Revolution's "secret weapon" is still its wireless gyroscopic controller.

That is an interesting statement, it seems like a Nintendo thing to do. Links please >>.

I presumed that the whole "Nintendo's secret weapon" thing had died off already. I hope that Nintendo's secret weapon is good games.

Anyone else looking at this the same way as me? Look at pc\dc\xbox\ps people have been using emulators on them for years right? Nintendo see's this and are like hmm how can we stop this and figure if they make the next console able to play them already they can sell the games for a couple bucks and make a profit. Its about time nintendo realized what we want and are adding this feature even though its been around for quite some time thanks to those modders\coders who probaly didnt even make any profit for us to enjoy.

If you read the article, Nintendo VP stated all those fun games we play for free on emulators will... be free! Sure, they make money on the console (presumably), but what's wrong with that? I would NOT mind supporting a single hardware unit that provides OFFICIAL support for the continued enjoyment of all past Nintendo games. No, the libraries won't be as big as what we see on emulators. After all, Nintendo doesn't have the rights to release absolutely everything for free. We know that past Nintendo games (GC excluded I bet) will be free. I was expecting to pay a few bucks a pop, which was no problem, but now that I hear free, freakin' awesome!!

That would be cool if they made snes games for the revolution. 2D games usually always have better gameplay. :)

i miss the days when games sold for being good games and not just for their pretty graphics :(

as long as Nintendos games stay centered on quality and gameplay i will conitue to buy their products. OR any other developers.
