I'd like your input; is there anything I am missing that should make me keep this kit?

Here's the kit; [EDIT; which I paid $93 for]

Should I rather exchange it for a 1600MHz 2x4GB CL9?

According to a recent article on bit-tech.net (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/memory/2011/01/11/the-best-memory-for-sandy-bridge/1) there isn't much of a difference performance wise as far as memory speeds are concerned.

Maybe I am missing something; could it limit the o'clocking performance of a 2500k?

I doubt it. So I am thinking of exchanging it for for a 1600MHz 8GB kit.

Memory speed won't affect the overclock of a 2500K because you're using multiplier not bus. Whether you need 8Gb depends what you use the PC for. Why not a 1600MHz 4Gb kit?

That is what I was thinking.

I'd save at least $30, and put these towards an SSD.

Or maybe get a 8GB kit, and use a few Gigs as a ramdisk.
