Upgraded my PC from an 850 based mobo and chip to a 915 based mobo and chip. I was running a 9800 Pro which I was perfectly happy with but obviously had to dump it for the new motherboard.

My options for video card are so far not looking good. I've tried an X600XT and after the 9800 Pro its just not getting the job done. The only other GOOD PCI-E card I have seen for sale is the $650 Asus X800XT and that is a good $200+ more than I can justify spending on a video card . When I am going to be able to buy a PCI-E card that is at least as good as my 9800 Pro was if not better? Anyone have any idea?

The 6600 and 6600GT are out today and available to purchase on a couple of sites, according to the nvidia press release.

If you want an ATI card, the x700XT 128MB is $199 and should be out some time in the future.

Thanks for the info. I found a Sparkle 6600GT 128MB for sale on Gameve.com that is going to be released on the 25th of this month. I've never heard of Sparkle but if its the same as the Nvidia reference board then it will be ok with me.

Hopefully I wont grow old before it actually arrives. :(
