Ok i have 2 roads before me. On one I have a danner mag 3, 70' big block chevy heater core, one pass (12 by 6), 2 vantec stealth 53cfm 120mm fans, and an almost done shroud. I still need to complete the shroud and figure out how to do the pump. I also need to get a 6002 ( $44) water block, clear flex ( $10), 2 fan grills ($4), some type of resiuor(sp) or T line, and about $20 in misc hardware.
On the other road i could spend my money on a sub $200 (with water block) used exos. As a previous owner of an exos i know how easy they are to install and swap between systems. They also seem to be better coolers then the copper heatsinks im used to ( no hair dryers). Temps are always in the sub 45c range when past 3ghz on intel or 2ghz in amd.
Now my question is, do i spend $100 and resurrect my failed diy attempt ( can not use antifreeze indoors, thank god for fluidxp)? If i do this my resale will be nill. Or do i spend $200 and get another exos, and be able to resell for 80% of cost or whatever?
Ive never had water other then an exos, so i dont know what kind of temps i would be getting with a 1/2" setup using pretty good parts.
