I am running 4 cpus ( more soon ) I downloaded text editor and changed all the cpu #s in the config file and saved it. So I numbered the cpus 1,2,3 and my linux box is #4
When I go to my stats page is only shows 1 Active processors. Is this normal????

give 'em a chance to get all the processors turning in work. It should register them once they turn in work units.
There are two lines, one that says last 50 days or something, and one that says 7 days.

Yeah, you'll have to wait for them to all turn in a unit.

Also, you don't need to give each machine a different ID. Thats more for if you are running a dually rig, hyperthreading, etc. As long as you have the username and team number right, you stats should be fine.

If you have 4 cpu's in 4 machines, then each cpu is #1. You only change that number if you have a dual cpu machine, god love ya, a 4 cpu machine ;)

If your using 4 machines just rerun -config and make each machine #1 but keep your user name (BillR) and team "33" settings.

Moving the wrong data between config files on diff machines can cause you real grief, not only show you with less cpu's then you have but actually put you in the minus column.

Stanford has had trouble again with the stats server posting, according to the OC page, that means that the boxen are turning in units and you are getting credit, but it won't show up for the time being.

DON"T PANIC, STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD, . . . . . . .

keep yourself busy, build more boxen . . . . . . . . . . .

Oh yah, the Mobo's won't be there till Monday, :D

go ahead and panic, it's more fun anyway :D

hahaha, O well I was looking forward to finishing my boxen this weekend!
hey can I OC those boards carl? O ya, I am going to mail you a check on
Sat. ( payday ) I spent all my $ on getting more memory for my Linux folding boxen.
( 1.3ghz Oced to 1.7ghz) all 4 the [H]orde

Don't have a clue, I never hooked them up, didn't fit the boxes they were supposed to go into. ALL of my boxen have to be in a case or comments are made about junk laying around and looking crudy.

makes life smoother :D

ya I know the feeling!

Just keep up the fight...

3 years ago, I was told it had to fit on the desk...
then I got an office.

Then it had to fit in the office neatly. Then she only comes in to get paperwork.
now I have outgrown my office with stuff, and have a machine in the daughters room and a lappy in the living room, you know so I can see whats comming on the TV ;)

you can hear the white noise from the office in almost all of the rooms. There is a lot of 60/80/90-20mm fans in there... along with the box fan and window unit. Hell, even the 1400 and 1500 smart-ups make noise.

Somebody was going to make a pile of machines fit into a file cabinet once.... That would be a cool way to run a bunch of PC's and not look like a pile of junk out of a traditional case. I for one am not interested in running a machine out of a case, but then again, I have spare cases incase I come accross a cheap combo.

Just keep fighting, passively. It works.

Well I all ready moved the den from the smallest bedroom to the next to biggest, and rewired it to power up 24 boxen, with UPS and network and phone and a small work bench.

Got away with getting better KVM switches, which will remove the extra moniter (makes room for a couple more boxen) And am working on slowly getting the 24. I have 16, just one of them can't come out yet, as it doesn't exhist yet :D
and when the other KVM's show up I will Have to sell the old ones. They are known to be extra, so must be sold

However I notice that this room is used more now that it is getting colder outside, and I turned the AC off in here. (heat is on in the rest of the house)

And my neighbor is signing for the boxes that "don't" show up with parts.
Yes he's paid off, and thinks it is fun to tease me about it. :D

IT does cost less than the race car stuff, so it is easier to slide in small un-noticed things, and occasionally I do something and have a bunch of boxes that are here for updating and what not. so there is always one more in the farm when they go back.

It is easier to hide a boxen than the Sports racing car that accidently showed up one weekend when I was off running another car. the old owner delivered it early, and just dropped it off in the drive way, I was dead :D
