Restoring Data

Ok, so my girlfriends HD has been acting freaky for the past month, it finally just wouldn't load windows. At the windows loading screen it would just cut out and restart, so installed a new HD on it and hooked the old one back up as a slave to see if I could get any data off of it, windows recognizes it but when I try and get into it an error message pops up and says the disk is not formatted and asks me if I would liek to format it, which I don't because there is data on it. Is there any way for me to recover the data?

I did not see the other thread. You can try something like GetDataBack from www.runtime.org
