anybody know any free restaurant software. I work at a small restaurant and everything would run more efficiently if we could have the kitchen see orders digitally. Maybe print tickets or hook up a screen in the kitchen?

Also we already have open table touch screen with windows, and the restaurant also has in ipad. But we are looking for freeware.
 
You may find some free, standalone application.... But I doubt one that meets your needs of having a central data repository, the ability to push messages from one machine to another machine (such as pushing orders to the kitchen line), etc.

If you decide to actually budget money for a system, then two companies that come to mind are IBM and POSitouch.
 
I've never seen freeware order applications. From what I know they are 'systems' that you have to buy, where you get the software and POS in a bundle.
