Restarting when playin BF1942

I just built a comp for my friend recently, its been running fine, but he just bought BF1942 and it works. But, while hes trying to connect to the server, his computer restarts. I don't really know why, his power supply is crappy and his memory is runnin at CAS 2. Im thinkin that those might have something to do with it. What do you think it is?
 
not enough info... does he use NIC to connect to the internet, (onboard or separate) or USB interface or something else? I assume the game itself runs fine in single player mode?
 
Disable automatic restarts to get error messages if possible.

And specs; does it work in single player, etc.
