I have an acer al1715b, and today the surge protector happened to get jostled just enough that it came enough out of the socket so that it cut power to everything hooked up to it. Fix it, turn everything on, and the monitor won't work. So, hook up another (really horrible, disgusting, painful) monitor up to check to see if it was the monitor or something more serious, and the other monitor works. So, I try hooking it up to another computer, one which is confirmed to have no display related issues, and boom, nothing. It will power up (or at least the power LED will be on) but it won't do anything. Any ideas on what might be wrong, how to fix it, and how much it might cost? Thx.

Well, have you tried a different signal cable? You said the LED turns on...will the on-screen menu show up? If it doesn't, the cathode may have died.
