Response time in relation to DPI

Just a curious question, is response time better or worse as pixels become smaller on LCDS? IE can we expect that outside of the ability of the GPU to drive a scene on a higher resolution monitor will we have more or less trouble pushing higher refresh rates on displays as they increase in pixel density?
