I just put my first system together and it's been running great for over a week. I don't have a way to check my cpu temp besides going into BIOS. My idle temp after running for a week straight with average cpu use (web browsing, AIM, etc) has been 27-28 C. Is this a good result?

WC System:
DD 12v pump
DD Res
Black Ice Extreme Rad with 120mm Sunon Fan 90CFM 44+ dba
Swiftech Radbox
Swiftech CPU block
3/8" tubing all around except 1/2" from res to pump and pump to rad's inlet

res -> pump -> rad -> cpu -> res

Computer Sys
P4 3.4ghz
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
1 GB Corsair DDR400
2x 74GB Raptors RAID 0
1x 120GB WD Caviar?
6800 ultra
Lian-Li PC-6070B case
Antec 550w
Intel Sticker
Wires
Dust
and a partridge in a pear tree (custom ordered)

28c is what I was at at stock speeds. the best thing about water isnt really the idle temp. its the low variance between idle and load compared to air. 28 Idle 32 load.

28c at stock? Wow, I was around 45c at stock with my P4 3.4g and my bro's 3.0gh P4 is around 38-40c.

After an hour+ of HL2 I was at 33c.

I have the exact same figures on my system. I did however burn the tubing in at around 50 for a few weeks.

I have a simular setup on the same board. Installed 2 days ago. Idle is 29 or so. Load is spot on too.

Awesome. I'm glad to hear I built a system right up there with the [H]ard boys and didn't mess up. I was scared my temps were going to be higher than the norm but they seem to be right there on average.

How do you like your radbox?? I'm considering using it because I dont want to cut up my case and dual 80mm rad seems like it wouldnt provide enough cooling or would need really loud fans to do so.

My idle temp is 38-40 :(. Only cause im O'cin it and its at 1.75V. and i have no case fans. So even inside the temp its 33 degrees :)
