Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they change the panel type without changing the model number. Usually, you can tell by the specs which panel type is in each monitor. For example, TN panels always have narrow viewing angles (160 degrees max.) and 6-bit color (16.2m colors instead of 16.7m). PVA panels usually have the best contrast ratio (700:1 and above). The only problem is that you can't really trust the specs either. Often, you'll see "16.7m colors" text in the specs of 6-bit panels and 170 degrees viewing angle for TN panels which in reality doesn't exist, at least at the moment.Rustynuts said:I don't think the vendor typically places this info in the specs do they?
