Can anyone tell me if my Acer Aspire X (core I3) desktop with Intel 2500 HD graphics can run a 27" WQHD monitor at it's full resolution via HDMI? I'm not sure which version of HDMI my acer has (is there a way to check this)? I think it might need to be v1.4?

I really don't want to add a graphics card if if I can run a 27" WQHD at full resolution via HDMI. I'm not a gamer so just need it to work for general office stuff.

Thanks,

The other question you have to ask is whether the monitor itself will do its native resolution over HDMI. Asinine as it is, some monitors will not.
