I need help :(

Not sure what happened but all of the sudden my 2001FP won't fit (in the whole screen) the lower resolutions. Anything on 1600x1200 fits perfectly fine but anything lower than that is viewed on a smaller screen (with black borders) as opposed to fitting the image to the entire screen with the desired resolution.....

Anyone have a clue on how to fix that??

Look under the Nvidia driver properties, theres a tab called "Digital Flat Panel Settings". Select "Monitor Scaling" or "Display Adapter Scaling" and non-native resolutions will be scaled up to your screen.

There's no tab called that...

I only have General, Adapter, Monitor, Troubleshoot, Color Management and GeForce 7800GTX and under GeForce tab there isn't anything close to an option like that :(

i think your problem may be due to the lack of coolbits installed, or the possibility that your monitor doesnt have dvi capability.

Gigla... Coolbits does not give you those monitor settings and that display does have DVI/Analog/SVideo, RGB...etc

OP...Have you checked the zoom in/out settings on the monitors position controls?
Do a monitor reset, and last but not least, play with all the card settings you can find...there is one for display/flat panel (as stated above)

my apologies for the conceptual error, after reading the question again and using my brain this time, I stand in shame LOL. In truth i posted an etremely hasty response because nature was calling

Sorry...I must have been a little harsh...didn't mean to come off that way.

..something else...are you only seeing this in games or just everything in general at lower resolutions?

you were not harsh at all my friend. I appreciate people that can offer good and soound advice to those in need. Plus you keep people from listening to morons like me that cant wait to post before using the bathroom LOL. Cheers!!!!

I realized there was a monitor setting.... not sure what resetted to not fill.... I did install beta drivers xxx.43 whcih come with a driver cleaner, nvtray and coolbits.... but there's no tab for LCD displays...
