I'm just about to order my stuff and i just want to know which of the following two is better, and why
1)http://www.dangerden.com/mall2/more_3pics.asp?fmmore=245- Is the third inlet/outlet used for filling and draining?
2)http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Misc_Hardware/ddbay.asp#Danger_Den_Single_(5_1/4)_Bay_Reservoir -Whats with the seperator in the center?

Also with this pump can i mount it on its side with out any problems. The reason is i want the outlet coming out the side, not out the top.

Thanks for the help
Jimmy

The Danger Den Bay Reservoir High-Density Polyethylene is the better of the 2. The discription on the site pretty much explains why, I can't make it much simplier than that.
The D4 pump can be mounted any way you like except with the inlet pointing down, other than that, you're good to go.

thanks, i guess i should have read more :). Also is the inlet for the pump on the top or the bottom?

the pump shoots water out the top...don't make the mistake like i did ....i wondered why it wasn't moving very fast...hehe

EDIT: sorry, didn't make it clear...

^goes out (outlet)

----< <---water goes in (inlet)

but yeah, the HDPE is really nice, and it won't crack like the plain bay res...

The seperator plate forces the water to completely circulate through the whole reservior instead of taking a short path between inlet and outlet. In itself, it doesn't offer much better performance other than to increase the travel time between hot and cold portions of the loop.
The extra inlets you see in many reserviors offer both different hose placement options as well as using 1 reservior to feed two seperate loops.

Alright, thanks for all the information. Now i'm pretty much ready to buy all the stuff :)
