Reset Passwords in OS X

I boot into single user mode and wow.. it's not a normal UNIX system. Frankly this entire netinfo thing is strange and it should be normal (ie, not the way it is now).

But anywho, I am wondering, how do I change user passwords?

boot off the osx cd, go apple, change password (been a while i think its applemenu) that is if u dont know the current password
if you do, i think its user accounts in system preferences

Hmm, any way to do it from single user mode? I don't have the OSX CD.
