Reset Cisco PIX 525 ??

I've recently obtained a cisco pix 525 firewall, it powers up but stops booting when it states its the secondary firewall in a fail over system. It won't let me boot past that point.


Is there a way to restore/reset the unit so that it can be configured as the primary firewall ??

thanks for the link !!.. don't know how i missed that I was all over ciscos site !! :)

Oh well, so once I reset the password I guess I'll have to get a copy of the PIX "OS" and reinstall it .. doubt I can get the software online without a valid cisco license .. They REALLY want you to $$ pay up $$ in order to learn or use their equipment !! kinda sux, i'm just a hobbyist and want to learn.

you may or may not be able to find the pix code out there on the internets, just be aware it's not legal and could be corrupted or infected with something nasty. I have come across copies of the code on bittorrent but I've never tried them since I have access to the good stuff illegitimately.
