Reservoir Question

Hi guys,
I'm currently doing a bit of prep work for a senior project and I was curious if there were any high volume reservoirs (1 liter or so ) that can be refilled easily. I am sort of building a cocktail maker... Combining my two hobbies; alcoholism and engineering... If this turns out to be viable you can expect me to make and post a work log.
Thanks

"the advantages of having a reservoir usually outweigh the disadvantages of not having one."

I think that author should double check his negatives. :p

And what does a cocktail maker have to do with a watercooling loop? o_O

I see nothing wrong with that statement.

Reservoirs would be there to hold the alcohol. I figured that a water cooling reservoir would allow it to be easily refilled and be functional.

On one hand you have advantages of using a reservoir.

On the other hand you have DISadvantages of NOT using a reservoir.

Oh wait... those statements mean the same thing. :p

It should be "advantages of using a reservoir weighed against the advantages of not using a reservoir,"

Probably, just don't put any alcohol anywhere near the inside of the computer or water loop itself.

Lol... I see now, I was up way too late last night.

For a project like this you'd need to use food-grade materials to prevent the leeching of hazardous plastic chemicals. The presence of ethanol might exacerbate this effect. Since senior projects are generally low budget, I'd recommend using something simple like your standard 2L soda bottle, tupperware, or a FDA approved bucket with food grade tubing (Tygon is a well known brand).

Your adviser would probably give you a few lashings for ignoring this oversight but I think we can let it slide here. ;)

Isn't that what the liquor bottle is for?

Go to the chemistry lab and find a flask that has a neck on both ends....probably an evaporator or some such, fit tubing over the ends and attach barbs to the free ends......

Reservoir made of commercial pyrex ftw!!!
