Researchers have built a super tiny version of the Pac-Man maze, only one millimeter in diameter, so they could turn microorganisms loose on each other in a microscopic game of death. You know these scientists had to be bored out of their minds to come up with something like this.

And so it begins... Humans are building artificial worlds for organisms to live in, fight, die and get eaten, all for "research" which is human-speak for "entertainment". Little do the humans know that the predecessor to Earth, the solar system, galaxy and "universe", as they like to call it, was started by a race of beings long ago who also built a similar "Pac Man" maze for research, and then advanced to more sophisticated world development in the millennia that followed.

Also, lawsuit from Namco in 3...2...1...
"Pac Man was never intended to be used for microscopic gladiator tournaments," said Namco legal council.

Also, after reading the YouTube comments (warped humor abounds there), I have to say this would be an awesome thing to do: Put human female eggs in the corners and drop a few male sperm into the maze. If the sperm find an egg and fertilize, you win (or you lose, depending on how to look at it).
